Wow do I ever disagree with you guys for online codes. The developers/publishers are spending A TON to make these games and support their online incarnations. There is no reason why the developer and publisher shouldn’t get a cut of the used game sales especially when its to play online. The developer lifestyle isn’t exactly rich. Why you would want all your money to go to Gamestop and none to the developer is beyond me. Its not like you’re spending an extra $10 when you purchase a new game. And its not like Gamestop is helping the developers keep the updates for the online game play happen. Smitty wrote a pretty good article on this very subject: http://irbgamer.com/2011/04/i-have-to-pay-more-an-online-pass-editorial/
Andrew, it wasn’t Soul Caliber, it was Dead or Alive that had the Spartan.
Nice insights! I have been previously trying to find something similar to this for a long time now. Cheers!
